JOB DESCRIPTIONS BY DEPARTMENT
As a part of the electrical department you will be responsible to install, repair, or replace a variety of electrical equipment in mobile shredding and collection vehicles. To be qualified for a position in electrical you must have one of the following qualifications: ETA (Electronics Technicians Association) or ISCET (International Society of Certified Electronics Technician Certification).
Assemblers and fabricators use a variety of tools and machines to assemble and fabricate custom built mobile shredding and collection vehicles and the parts that go into them.
As a welder, you will be joining metal parts and be filling holes, indentations, or seams of metal products. You must be able to read, understand, and interpret two and three-dimensional diagrams in order for metal products to be able to fit correctly during the assembly of the mobile shredding and collection vehicles.
Painting and Coating
Painting and coating workers set up and operate machines to paint and coat a wide range of products including vehicles. This position must have technical and artistic ability to maintain standards of quality.
As a part of the Parts Department, you will be responsible for providing spare and replacement parts for Shredfast customers. You will have to identify the correct part or a suitable substitute based on an examination of the damaged part or the customer’s description of the problem. You will also maintain inventory and work with vendors to track down certain parts that are needed for both customers and for the manufacturing of Shredfast mobile shredding and collection equipment.
Van Body Tech
As a Van Body Tech, it will be your responsibility to fabricate custom van bodies to specifications. In this position you will need welding skills as well as a general understanding of fabrication tasks.
Machinists will set up and operate a variety of computer-controlled and mechanically-controlled machine tools to produce precision metal parts for mobile shredding and collection vehicles. This position must be able to work with CAD/CAM technology, CNC machine tools, and computerized measuring machines. The work must be highly accurate, which will require precision, concentration, and dexterity.
As a part of the Quality Control department, you will examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications. This position will inspect, test, and measure products to make sure they meet production standards. All inspection results will be used to report accepted or rejected items.
